As a child growing up in upstate New York, David Yarbrough was introduced to conservative menswear by his father. However, his taste for fashion did not rub off on young David until the final day of his senior year of high school. In preparation for his valedictory address, David wore a double-breasted navy blazer and gray slacks, hand-me-downs from his brothers. But he was not a carbon copy. He opted to accessorize an otherwise bland uniform with an Eton-collared shirt and a bright red bow tie. Bow ties would become his signature look.
David's mind, as well as his attire, would be honed as an undergraduate at Harvard College. Since his graduation in the late 1980s, David has developed an eye for what works and what doesn’t in various professional environments. From casual denim to hand-made suits, David has observed that achieving sensible style does have its price ... a reasonable one.
